About

Moneim Adam has over 15 years of national, regional, and international litigation experience, focusing on human rights and public

interest law. He started his career as a human rights and criminal lawyer in Sudan. Moneim has represented dozens of activists and NGOs before domestic courts and regional mechanisms. During this period of his career, he was primarily working in strategic litigation with organizations such as Redress. He has experience in submissions before domestic, regional mechanisms, and UN agencies. After that, he transitioned to the international law field and widely supported the ICC work in Sudan and particularly the VPRS and the victims in Darfur. He served as a consultant for numerous organizations such as Freedom House, Gisa, and the access to justice project. He prioritized supporting the transitional justice effort during the interim period in Sudan and after the revolution where he worked closely with OHCHR and other local and INGOs to facilitate the process in collaboration with all stakeholders including the state. Moneim has a history of successful advocacy, data management, investigations and reporting, as well as organizational and team leadership.
