Illicit Financial Flows Linked to Atrocity Crimes: Enabling Conduct and Money-Laundering Risks
On May 26, 2026, LexCollective co-launched a white paper with the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime, which examines how atrocity crimes generate and conceal significant financial proceeds through banks, trade channels, corporate structures, and crypto. The central recommendation calls on FATF to explicitly recognize atrocity crimes within its standards to strengthen detection, enforcement, and accountability.

On 15 July 2025, LexCollective, with support from the Ukrainian Legal Advisory Group and B4Ukraine, submitted a communication to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, pursuant to Article 15 of the Rome Statute.
DRC: Submission - UN Special Rapporteur on Climate Change
Together with Climate Counsel, and Femmes pour la Paix et les Droits Humains, LexCollective submitted a report to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Climate Change in April 2025 addressing the human rights impact of coltan extraction in Eastern DRC.
Southeast Asia: Submission - UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery
In April 2025, LexCollective co-authored a submission to the UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of slavery. Together with its partners Freedom Collaborative, Humanity Research Consultancy, and Operation Shamrock, we presented the current progress, challenges, and recommendations on how the financial sector can play a bigger role in eradicating contemporary forms of slavery in cyber-scam compounds in Southeast Asia.
Sudan: Advocacy Mapping
In late 2024, students of the Harvard Law School Advocates for Human Rights, in collaboration with LexCollective and the Sudan Human Rights Hub developed an advocacy mapping, which compiles the varying responses of United Nations Member States to the armed conflict in Sudan and aims to inform targeted advocacy for peace and accountability.
